Productive Evening
I just got back from another java powered evening at Starbucks. Man why am I so productive there? Must be because it's pretty distraction-free. You might go, "WTF is that guy talking about, there are tons of distractions there. Like hot girls." See, I've found this great example about how my brain works, and I'm gonna share it with you.
My brain is like a car. I am the driver. I'm a very good driver. For some reason, I got stuck with this noisy little brat in the back seat, yelling and screaming "LAAA LAA LAAA.... I WANT MY MUSIC ON!!..... HEY WHAT'S THAT??!?.... ARE WE THERE YET!!!"... etc. For that damned kid to shut up, I have to keep it occupied. Unfortunately for me, the things that I have to do, don't interest him. So I have to go to noisy places, like shopping mall food courts, or Starbucks, to give him things to look at and do.. basically so he'll shut the hell up and leave me alone. You may laugh, or think I'm crazy, but I am happy to say that I have found others that have a similar problem.
Anyways, so in the span of 90 minutes, I cranked out three articles for Builder.com. I couldn't believe it. I'll tell you what tho... my blogging has helped my article writing tremendously. The three articles I wrote were all derived from previous posts, and provided a nice three-article series on .NET versioning issues. Knocked out almost a months pay in less than 2 hours.... slick :) I can DEFINITELY get used to this. I am SO GLAD that I quit my job. UGH, it was such an emotional and physical drain. I'd love to share what I'm having to go through now JUST to get my last paycheck, but it's not worth it. I've just plain wasted way too much energy on them already. Always looking forward, never back.
At any rate, Article #5 is on Framework Compatibility issues, Article #6 is on Versioning the MS Way, and Article 7 is on Namespacing and Code Organization. Since my DAL article (#4) is due out on the 25th of this month, I can expect that these next three will follow each week right afterwards. I'll have more details on my publishing schedule later. Off to bed.
