Coaxial to DVI Conversion

I have an extra 19 inch LCD display and it occurred to me that I could use that as my office television. The thing is, I need to convert the coaxial signal coming from my TiVo to a DVI input or a VGA input. Does anyone know if this is even possible?

Sure. Some receivers do what's called transcoding to allow all video inputs to go to one component/DVI/HDMI output (so that you don't have to change the TV input).

I'm sure there's some standalone boxes or even cables that would do the job for you.

I was in monoprice.com I could not find any receiver where I will have video input and dvi output. If any one can give some guidance,

I'm looking to connect a DVD player to a computer monitor. I'm not interested in converting the monitor into a TV. Are there any cables, etc., I can buy to do this without the need to purchase a TV receiver?

DVI-I to 3 RCA Component RGB Cable, if you had a spare dvd player or vcr, coax to player, rca from player to lcd
