Ok, so maybe Dell isn't so bad

Ok, so you might remember my horrific rant about dell last year.  I had had a REALLY BAD experience with their support.  Well, maybe dell isn't so bad. I dropped my inspiron laptop on Monday  off my desk.  It fell on to  very thin carpet which merely covered concrete.  It landed on a corner.  The screen got knocked around.  The spring that holds an item in one of the bays was broken.  My laptop ran out of its 3 year warranty about a month ago.  We put the screen back straight.  I had to have a new spring for the bays ordered.  Thats it.  The guys that helped were shocked that the laptop was still in one piece.  Maybe dell isn't so bad after all............

  • Yes, they are. I was stuffed around no end when I ordered a 20" LCD monitor from them. They practically lied to me when queried about the status of the delivery, as it was quite overdue. Not once. Not twice. Three times.

    In the end I cancelled the order and bought one from somewhere else.

    The really sad thing is that no a week after this happened to me, the same thing happened to three friends of mine!
