Should I move my old posts?

Sorry I have not been posting much lately but I have been very busy with moving and my new job. With the little bit of extra time I have had I've been working on setting up my new CS 1.1 site (to be released very soon I hope).

I'm trying to decide if it is worth actually transferring my posts from this weblog to my new blog or just start fresh.  I think it will be a pretty big job to get them transfered and links working properly (unless someone has an automated solution). Right now I'm of the mind to just leave these posts behind and start at zero again. I guess another option would be to just keep this blog and cross post the technical posts.

What do you guys think?

  • Move old content to new blog
  • Keep old content here and start fresh on new blog
  • Keep old content here, have two blogs and just cross post technical posts

Will anyone even miss this blog if I don't keep it alive?

  • I think there should be a third option. Move your best posts to the new site and then start fresh. It would help us new reader see all the cool content from over the years while moving to something new that we can watch. Tracking two blogs is too much for me personally. I can't wait to see the new site! Love the blog!

  • Start fresh : New Job = New Blog :)

  • You should definitely keep your old blog in place. All those permalinks mean something to someone. Then make a final post here indicating where your new blog is and to follow you there. That way all your content remains in tact and easy to find on <strike>Google</strike>MSN Search.
