"Hello World" with BT (British Telecom) SDK
In this years TechEd Europe, BT released a brand new SDK to develop next gen applications. This is part of the Web21C initiative that the company is currently undergoing. Last week, I played with the SDK and decided to write a basic tutorial on getting started using this SDK. In the tutorial, I used the SMS capability to write a simple SMS sender application.

Code Style Enforcer
A cool Visual Studio plugin to enforce coding standards. The current version is based on the C# coding standards provided by IDesign but as they are defined using regular expressions you can change it easily. Another cool thing about this is that it is built on top of DXCore which enables it to run on any version of Visual Studio. You only need to download the appropriate runtime for DXCore.

Welcome to Web 2.0

"Bye Bye Microsoft Word, Hello ajaxWrite"
What if there was alternative for Microsoft Word that would install and open in 6 seconds, read and write Microsoft Word .doc files and run on Macintosh, Microsoft Windows or Linux computers? And oh yeah, it was FREE so consumers didn't have to pay $499 for Microsoft Office. I'm excited to announce that day is here.... -

Using Webcam in your applications
As part of another project, I wrapped the very basic functionality of "avicap32.dll" to use webcam in your own applications. Well for some reason, I'm unable to continue working on it so I decided to put the source online which I hope will save someone a little time.

WinFS Junior 0.2 - Recent Downloads
I received a lot of complains regarding "WinFS Junior" on the problem of launching the application once the download is completed. Just because "WinFS Junior" removes the file from the original directory it is not possible to run it from the download dialog.

ZiePod :: A better podcast receiver/player
Until now, I have been using Juice Podcast receiver as my favourite application for subscribing to podcasts. The main reason for using Juice is small footprint and fast execution with a fairly decent user interface.

WinFSJunior :: A Poor Man's File System
"WinFS Junior" is a small utility which will help you organize your downloads into categorized folders. It started when I completely fed up with saving all downloaded files in a single folder. Don't think that I didn't start with organizing my stuff. Although I get bored with browsing to the most appropriate folder and saving the file there. What I needed is a solution which could work automatically without having to save/sort each file individually.

RssMix - The De-Bloggers List
I recently discovered RssMix, which looks like an interesting service to combine similar feeds in a single feed. I'm not sure whether this feature is available in Squeet otherwise I'd used that instead. Although it is now possible to get the mixed Rss feed through Squeet in your email.

A Technique for Producing Ideas
We consider an idea as something which comes to our mind as magic. What we don't realize is the process that every one have gone through before producing an idea. In this book, James Webb Young describes this process as five easy steps. It is a very thin book and a very enjoyable reading.

How to get latest (tech) news on the internet?
This is something for the news freak. If you are always looking for the latest news then there are few places where you can keep you eyes to get everything.
The first source of everything new is digg.com as you'll notice that there are several dedicated people trying to get their news to the front page.
TopStories
Digg Front page
Digg Spy - A new feature where you can see the live activity in terms of news submitted and then digged by the users.
Apart from digg, you can track del.icio.us for everything that people are tagging.
LiveMarks: A service developed by Alex Bosworth which tracks del.icio.us.
Populicio.us: Another site which gives you a static view of the things that is tagged by del.icio.us
Some other general news websites which headlines popular news:
TailRank
Memeorandum
Topix
Google News
For .NET News, I personally follow Larkware as the latest news source.
Another website that is new but growing is DotNetKicks which is built on the same model as of digg.
