I can exactly understand and fell what your are feeling
because my son was born just ten days before yours on
18-12-2006. Everything is fine and so i hope that you
can also get home as soon as possible to enjoy your "new
and changing" life.

Note: After giving birth the (new) mother's body
apparently generates some set of chemicals/hormones
which cause her to become tired and more able to sleep.
There is no such advantage for the father. (Although
lets be fair, the mother did not just the lion's share
of the work, but probably most of the rest of the
pride's share.)
Congratulations Roy. You have just entered the most
stressful, sleep deprived, wonderful phase of your life
to date.
It's great.. My wife and I thought it was so great that
we went on to have a total of 3 little ones before we
saw sense.
This last Christmas, I saw my 5 year old daughter in her
class nativity and I suddenly managed to forgive her all
the behavior over the past year :)

oldest daughter. It's hard, but when it's over you soon
forget all about it.
