“Unplugged” online chat with me this Wednesday

I just got back from my trip to India and the UK last week – and will be returning to more regular blogging shortly.

This Wednesday (August 18th) I’m going to be doing another online LIDNUG chat session.  The chat will be from 10:00am to 11:30am Pacific Time.  I do these chats a few times a year and they tend to be pretty good.  Attendees can submit any questions they want to me, and listen to me answer them live via LiveMeeting.  You can learn more about it here and join the chat and ask questions at the appropriate time with this link.

Hope to get a chance to chat with some of you there!

Scott

P.S. In addition to blogging, I am also now using Twitter for quick updates and to share links. Follow me at: twitter.com/scottgu

Please see the following post on the Silverlight forums for reference:

forums.silverlight.net/.../404083.aspx

Can you please just tell us when would the next service release of Silverlight 4 will be released that has fixes to all the memory leak problems? The entire Silverlight community and developers are waiting for this fix since March this year and now its been nearly 5 months and still NO FIX and no word from Microsoft other than "we're working on it". Please provide developers and your customers more accurate information and with more accountability.

We don't ask you guys to release a new version of Silverlight every 9 months and then leave developers and customers hanging in there for months while you guys attempt to plug holes and issues fixes. Just give us a stable release every 1-2 years instead.
