Online ASP.NET 2.0 and Visual Web Developer Video Training

MSDN has posted some good getting-started video material on ASP.NET 2.0 and Visual Web Developer.  Highlighted today is a course on using the new data access features (including the new ObjectDatasource, GridView, and FormView controls).  You can check them out in both VB and C# versions here: http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/vwd/videos/default.aspx

Thanks a lot for the link, Scott.
Good material for studing the asp.net 2.0 and WD Express edition for beginners and professionals who don't have any imagination at all about it. For me just only one wish is after viewing of this 14 lessons: Can Microsoft make by similar way (using wmv format) the video training courses for preparing to MCAD and MSCE exams?
Sincerely, LukCAD

With the price of Professional version being outrageously high for a guy who just likes to code all the time - I will need to investigate Web Developer.

I realize I will miss out on great coding opportunities.

Unbelievable to think I need to spend close to $800 to get an IDE to write code that makes Microsoft look good... Sure, it's a great IDE, no doubt about it- obviously designed for large corporation where the wine overfloweth.

Does this Visual Web tool support Atlas?

That is my primary interest at home right now: web services, Ajax, class libraries and asp.net

Hi Steve,

Visual Web Developer is actually a free download. Visual Studio Standard retails for $299 (with a $199 upgrade from existing versions of VB, C# or VS).

Hope this helps,

Scott

I've installed atlas on my machine, the problem is, when I try to use the tags, I can't. I set the install directory in my references, but when I move a component, I don't get a visual, I get a lot of XML code.
