The Enterprise Library 2.0 Performance Comparison document provides an analysis Enterprise Library deployment in both a 32-bit (2 and 4 processor) and 64-bit (2 and 4 processor) environment and examines their relative performance to a 32-bit 2 processor server. The goal of this document was to obtain the relative performance measurements of the Enterprise Library Logging Application Block, Caching Application Block, Data Access Application Block and the scalability from going from a 2 to a 4 bit processor arrangement in each environment.

When PAG released Enterprise Library they introduced us to the wonderful Configuration Console that did put the end of our prior miserable life of editing thous long configuration xml files. There is only one thing that someone forgot there and this is to have the configuration console integrated inside Visual Studio so that you will not have to get out of the environment every time you want to change the EntLib configuration.

Enterprise Library 2.0 is out !
The long-awaited update to Enterprise Library for .NET Framework 2.0 is now available - the official release is branded January 2006. This release of Enterprise Library includes six application blocks (Caching, Cryptography, Data Access, Exception Handling, Logging and Security), and provides similar functionality to the previous releases for the .NET Framework 1.1; however, Enterprise Library has been redesigned to use the new capabilities of the .NET Framework 2.0.
